Quick Low Calorie Recipes

It’s so hectic nowadays, with work and don’t forget all the activities with the kids. On top of that, you try to take care of yourself. You want to keep healthy and lose weight at the same time. It’s difficult to juggle all that at once. I know how you feel. I also understand your need to lose weight. I’ve learned recently, that the healthy way is the sane way. You can try diet pills and starvation diets but in the end you have to go back to basics. Natural food is the way to go. The more organic the better.

To help you with your new and healthy approach towards life I’m going to give you some quick low calorie recipes. I hope you enjoy them!

Breakfast Wrap
In sprouted grain tortilla (eggs and any unprocessed meat, any veggies, any cheese)

Mix of Dried Apricots, Mangoes, Figs

Swiss Chard with Garlic and Lemon
Wash and Cut Swiss Chard. On medium heat place minced garlic and olive oil in a skillet, let cook for 2 to 3 minutes, then add Swiss chard. Cover with lid and let cook for 4 to 6 minutes or until chard is wilted. Season with pepper and lemon juice, then serve.

Garlic Edamame
Cook 1/2 cup of edamame according to package directions. Sprinkle garlic powder and serve.

Chicken Souvlaki
In bowl, mix together lemon juice, oregano, olive oil, and garlic. Put chicken, peppers and onions onto skewers and lightly oil the skewers. Cook until done.

Egg Salad Lettuce Wrap
Hard boil eggs, let cool, then peel and cut. Add pepper, onion, dill, mustard and low fat plain yogurt. Stir, then wrap in piece of Romain lettuce and serve.

Protein Shake w/ Fruit
With natural sweetners (with any of the following: any fruit, flax oil, avacado, plain yogurt, ground flax seeds, psyllium husk [powder or husk], hulled hemp seeds).

Fish & Sweet Potatoes
Fish and Mashed Sweet potatoes.
